A new group is starting on Mondays at St. Andrew from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. Diane Brousseau-Pizzi is facilitating A Course in Miracles. All are welcome to join this book study and reflection group after the holidays.
Contact Diane for more information.
Morning Bible Study
Wednesday Morning Bible Study-Meets most Wednesdays during the program year at 9:30 AM in the gathering room. At times, we dive into a book in the Bible or we talk about some of our deep faith questions. We’ve studied the word grace, wondered about Saints, and even talked the Holy Spirit.
2018 - New Year, New Book:
January 10th - The Wednesday morning bible study will be experimenting with a video/discussion series by Nicky Gumbel called A Life Worth Living. It is an engaging study of the book of Philippians. Pastor Ray Mitchell will get us started after the holidays. All are welcome to join the group.
Have you considered adding a new learning opportunity in the new year? This might be the one for you!
Wednesday Evening Book Study
This group meets most Wednesdays at 7:15 immediately after yoga class. The group is a collaboration between members of the recovery community and those just learning the twelve steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and their application to the Christian life.
New session starts September, 20th. This fall we are reading Breathing Under Water: Spirituality and the Twelve Steps by Richard Rohr. We use this book to explore our own path both to sobriety and to a deeper spiritual grounding in the way of Jesus. No preparation necessary. We read a portion together and discuss. If you have questions, contact Jerry Pesch.
St. Andrew partner and counselor Mary Raymond offers a “Good Grief” support group on Monday evenings. Grief is any loss—loss of a loved one, loss of a job, a relationship, or a health or mobility limitation. The group uses a video discussion format where you can find support and resources to help you cope with a loss. Please check our calendar to find out when the group is meeting and contact Mary with any questions.
One book club reads a wide range of fiction and non-fiction literature and engages in regular community service projects. They are focused on reading and mutual support. Contact Kerry Gallup.
